A
API integration

API integration is the ability for different software systems to exchange data automatically through secure, structured interfaces. In finance operations, where information is scattered across ERPs, banking portals, procurement tools, and document repositories, API integration eliminates manual transfers and creates a continuous, reliable flow of data between systems.

When APIs are connected, financial workflows stop depending on CSV uploads, email attachments, or fragmented exports. Instead, data moves in real time: invoices can be retrieved instantly, bank transactions can be reconciled as they appear, and validated records can be pushed directly into an ERP with no human intervention. This foundation is essential for scaling automation without adding operational risk.

Within an AI-augmented finance stack, API integration does more than connect tools, it enables agents to act. An integrated agent can fetch documents, standardize data, cross-check information across systems, and synchronize results back into accounting or reporting environments. This is what transforms automation from isolated tasks into end-to-end workflows.

Phacet relies on API integrations to orchestrate financial processes seamlessly. By connecting directly to systems such as banking platforms, accounting tools, POS systems, or cloud storage, Phacet agents can extract and reconcile data continuously while maintaining full traceability. You can see this in practice in the platform’s product foundation, where agents operate across documents, emails, and ERPs to deliver structured, audit-ready outputs, a model illustrated throughout the Product page.
